Il tempo vola quando ci si diverte. La gita a Lisbona volge al termine, una città divertente e malinconica al tempo stesso, romantica e spensierata, di splendidi tramonti e nuvole spesse. Che bella che è, davvero, mi sono bastate pochissime ore per innamorarmi, ma si sa, io ho un debole per le città portuali, quelle che stanno proprio sull'acqua. E quale più di questa? Addirittura ci sono scalinate che finiscono direttamente dentro l'acqua, senza nemmeno disturbarsi ad avere una spiaggia. Fantastico. Un popolo forte, orgoglioso e fiero della propria eredità di marinai. Poco fuori Lisbona c'è un monumento alle scoperte, che rappresenta un tributo ai navigatori agli esploratori partiti da qui, in cerca di avventura. Mi piace pensare di essere parte anche io di quel monumento, perché quando si parte in un viaggio, anche di pochi giorni soltanto, si va sempre incontro a qualche scoperta, e le occasioni per restare senza fiato si presentano quando meno te lo aspetti. Si torna a casa, pochi giorni soltanto, ma bisogna trarne il massimo ed essere grati, il viaggio ci arricchisce sotto tutti i punti di vista e vale SEMPRE la pena di investirvi tempo e fatica (e soldi). Time flies when you're having fun.

Our journey is coming to an end, we prepare to leave a funny and melancholic city altogether, romantic and easy going, made of incredible sunsets and heavy clouds.

Such a beautiful city, for me it was love at first sight, since you know, water is my element and I love cities that end up in water.

And no city is more "waterish" than this one, with stairs ending up directly into the water of the River Tago.

Cool.

A strong, proud, amazing community of explorers and sailors.

Just outside Lisbon there is a monument to discoveries, a tribute to sailors and explorers who left from here, in search of adventures.

I like to think I am part of that monument too, because when we leave for a journey, even if it's just for a few days, we always end up discovering something new, and you always get the chance to be enriched and surprised, when you least expect it.

We are going home, but we have enjoyed this short break so much, and we get back terribly grateful, since when it comes to traveling, for us it is always worth to invest time and money.
